Protection and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)

People are likely to experience limitations to their basic rights in times of uncertainty, especially during conflicts and crises. Our response is to ensure that affected populations can have access to their rights, be safe, and secure. We work on reducing their exposure to threats, violence, and build their capacity to better deal with such shocks.

We also run activities in Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) prevention and response to ensure that survivors receive the much-needed assistance in accordance with their wishes, while respecting the need for privacy and confidentiality. We ensure that men are engaged in accountable practices (EMAP), as we understand that SGBV is rooted in inequality and power dynamics between men and women.
