Women and Youth Empowerment

We work to promote women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. We believe that this is key for women to enjoy their rights and live up to their full potential.

Women who are empowered are able to make more contributions towards the betterment of societies, are fundamental in peace processes and are able to better represent the views of fellow women and girls. As such, ALA educates women on their rights and capacity build them to express their views in various platforms.
Youth are also necessary for sustainability of communities to ensure that the positive steps taken are continued to be built upon. Investing in our youth means more inclusion for all groups in the society.
